๐ ๏ธ How to Collect & Send KYP.ai Logs to Support
If you're facing an installation issue, our support team may ask you to send logs to help diagnose the problem. Follow the steps below to easily gather and send the required logs.
๐ Step 1: Create a Folder for Logs
On your Desktop, create a new folder.
Name the folder after the user whose logs you're collecting โ for example:
Logs_JohnSnow
๐ Step 2: Copy Logs from Public Directory
Navigate to the following location on the machine:
C:\Users\Public\KypCache
Locate the folder named logs.
Copy this
logs
folder.Paste it into the folder you created on your Desktop (
Logs_JohnSnow
).
๐ต๏ธ Step 3: Show Hidden Files to Access Roaming Logs
The next folder is hidden by default โ hereโs how to reveal it:
Show Hidden Items:
Go to:
C:\Users\[your_username]
Click the View tab at the top.
Check the box labeled Hidden items โ
๐๏ธ Step 4: Copy Logs from Roaming Directory
Navigate to this folder:
C:\Users\[your_username]\AppData\Roaming\KypClient
Inside, find the logs folder.
Copy the
logs
folder.Paste it into your
Logs_JohnSnow
folder on the Desktop.
๐ฆ Step 5: Zip the Logs Folder
Right-click your
Logs_JohnSnow
folder.Select Send to > Compressed (zipped) folder.
This creates a .zip
file ready for sharing.
๐ค Step 6: Send to KYP.ai Support
Visit our support portal:
https://support.kyp.ai/Upload the zipped logs file and submit your support request.
